CABP-BC respects your privacy and we are committed to protecting all personal information that we hold. CABP complies with the Personal Information Protection Act in BC.
We collect personal information from members, donors, volunteers, and others who have shown an interest in CABP or the UK state pension. We may collect the information by phone, fax, mail, email, online, or in person.
We use personal information to better serve our members and to expand our community of support including:
• To provide information about pensions and other retirement issues, events, membership, and donations
• To sell memberships and solicit donations
• To meet your requests for assistance or information.
The information we collect is used to send information that you have requested. It could also be used to notify you about updates to CABP-BC’s website or to remind you to renew your membership. Generally, we will only use or disclose personal information for the primary purpose that it was collected or for a purpose related to the primary purpose that you would reasonably expect.
Any personal information you give us including your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address will not be released, sold, or rented to any entities or individuals outside the Canadian Alliance of British Pensioners without your express permission.
We store personal information in our database on a secure server and in hard copy files. Only authorized personnel have access to this information.
If you ask, we will give you all your personal information that we hold. We do our best to record your information accurately.
